Good morning,

AND A GOOD DAY TO YOU KIND MADAM

My name is Christina and I'm an IT recruiter at Bluewolf. Our records show that you are an experienced Sr. Embedded Browser Programmer/Linux Applications Pro grammer.

My name is tangaroa and I'm the guy you just spammed. My records show that your records are full of shit. I've used browsers for a long time, but "Browser Programmer"? I whined at Mozilla for removing MNG support and that's about it. "Senior"? They think I'm a senior browser developer? Maybe because I've posted to jwz's comments a few times and they think I'm in the clique. "Embedded"? Embedded systems cost money that I don't have the income to support. I don't even have a cell phone. So I'm all that and a Senior Linux Applications Programmer. Go enjoy my Linux application.

My client has an immediate need for a....

Clue? New recruiting agency?

Senior Embedded Browser Programmer/Linux Applications Programmer
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Duration: PERM, FT
Salary: $130k ish for 1-2 years experience or up to $150-175K for more experience.

Given that I can't find anything in the $13k-ish range, I have to admit this is looking fairly attractive. If only honest businesses would offer to throw lots of money at me.

And yes, they said "k ish" in business correspondence. Hooray for the American public education system!

Work Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card holder, EAD

It's good to know that spammers are so concerned with respect for the law.

Looking for someone to join their team developing an innovative solution to the advertising business dilemma, come build an innovative mobile device.

So they want me to build a device that helps people receive mobile spam. And people are going to use this? Why?

Desired Experience and Skills:
Looking for people with Mozilla or Gecko programming experience.

One or the other, but not both!

A solid foundation in Linux fundamentals, including application level graphics, with at least 2 years.
Experience with client server applications, XML, XUL, or other at least 2  years.

Neither XML or XUL having much to do with client-server applications other than that some client-server applications use them to process data...

Experience with HTML browser code.

I should mention now that this entire email is in HTML 3 with FONT tags and EVERYTHING UPPERCASE, and there was no plain-text version.

An excellent understanding of C++ coding, at least 3 years.

Somebody will all these other skills is going to have a lot more than 3 years of experience in C++ coding.

Knowledge of embedded systems, multi-threading, with at least 3 years.
Three to ten years of software development experience.

And if you have all these skills, come work for a shady company we won't even identify that you learned about through a spam email!

If you are qualified, available, interested, planning to make a change, or know of a friend who might have the required qualifications and interest,

Help us! We're desperate!

please call me ASAP at (646) 230-0341, even if we have spoken recently about a different position. If you do respond via e-mail please include a daytime phone number so I can reach you. In considering candidates, time is of the essence, so please respond ASAP. Thank you.

Sincerely yours,
Christina Hooker
